The ancient farmhouse of Mengara was definitively restored in 1990 by Andrea and Carla Rossi. The property comprises a small Franciscan chapel saved by the restoration from the last years decay. The chapel is the most ancient part of the property. It is said that Saint Francis of Assisi prayed here during his way to Gubbio. In fact, it rises along the Franciscan way which unites Assisi and Gubbio. There is a parsonage adjoining the chapel, which has been reconverted into a small apartment. Guests can relax in a large garden, where on summer meals are served beneath a gazebo. There are green spaces for children equipped with seesaws, a slide, a blockhouse, a table-tennis table and a "bocce" court. 
In our biological farm we produce cereals like wheat and spelt and honey form more than 30 beehives.
In our estate there are large pastures for horses and deers and thick woods to walk through. Here in autumn you can find mushrooms and truffles. E-mail:
